Located in the metropolitan borough of the City of Salford in Greater Manchester, Worsley is a small and quaint village that offers its visitors a whole host of fun activities over the festive period. The library will host its own children's story time. This will be held at 2pm every Thursday and will include stories, rhymes, crafts, playtime and Christmas fun for you and the kids. Worsley Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club offer a whole host of dining and Christmas experiences for you and your friends to enjoy throughout the festive period. Lightwaves will be returning to Salford this December where artists will showcase their work and illuminate the dark winter nights, and it's all free. Eccles shopping centre will be hosting a day for all those last minute Christmas shoppers on the 17th December, so you have a last chance to grab some extra decoration, or a present for that special someone. The Friends of Lightoaks Park Christmas Cracker event will be held on Sunday the 18th December and will offer you and your family a whole host of Christmas activities, as well as entertainment for people of all ages.
For the more sporty people, Worsley offers a host of activities including Worsley Golf Club and a clay pigeon shooting club. Worsley Golf Club will be hosting a Christmas competition for their female members on Tuesday 13th December and a mens whisky competition on Saturday the 17th December. A short drive from Worsley you will have access to a host of sporting stadiums, including: Old Trafford, The Etihad Stadium, The AJ Bell, Old Trafford Cricket Ground and The Velodrome. You will also be able to reach a series of fun activities for the family centred around sport which include Chill Factore’s snowboarding and ski slopes, Jump Nation’s indoor trampolining experience and Aerial Extreme’s indoor sky diving.
As well as sporting activities, Worsley offers a whole host of cultural events for the festive period. These include the winter village at the Lowry Outlet, The Imperial War Museum at Salford Quays, Ordsall Hall, Moses Gate Country Park, The Museum Of Science and Industry and Media City Uk. The Lowry Theatre in Salford will also be holding a series of Christmas shows for all the family to enjoy.
